Holes, What Holes?

Intentional holes...I love them! I am about 2/3 of the way done with my Crinoid Shawl. I love the holes and especially the fringe. So simple, but very interesting to look at. The fringe is made by casting on 50 stitches and then immeadiately casting them off again. The result is a tenser edge on one side that makes the fringe twist like a DNA ladder.
