WEBS
WEBS. I think it stands for Wonderful Enticing Bargain Store. What do you think? I bet those who came along on Saturday's field trip would agree. After Saturday morning knitting six of us set out to WEBS and shopped till we dropped (well at least until we were really hungry!)
I was hunting for yarn for a sweater for B (Jo Sharp Ribbed Pullover) and headed straight back to the bargain area (well not straight back--I did get sidetracked by Lexie Barnes factory seconds, but quickly recovered myself--don't worry I visited those bargains again later).
I found Jaeger Roma which is a soft blend of viscose, nylon and angora. In the exact gauge!
The grayer color is for the sweater and the sand color is going to be knit up as pillow covers for the family room. They will be great to take a nap with (both the sweater-with the B in it and the pillows)!
So with mission accomplished I headed back to the main retail store and more specifically to the Lexie Barnes seconds. I got two mini bags--the larger to hold sock projects (currently holding my Morehouse Crinoid Shawl project) and a smaller one for notions. I also picked up a new tin of Knitter's Little Helper hand balm.
We then had a lovely late lunch at Viva Pasta Fresh. Which is a mucho yummy little restaurant that serves homemade pasta with delectable sauces and toppings. We're talking gooood! Too bad that the restaurant is so far away (or maybe that is a good thing). Here's the gang...had a great day ladies!
